The Lord is so good that He has laid out a rich and fertile
soil for the planting of the seed of ACS in the southern part of Cebu and that is the Talisay City District. The May
National Election in the Philippines opened the way for our very own Johnny
De Los Reyes from Bulacao SDA Church to win as Mayor for Talisay City, Cebu. As we all know Talisay District comprises the many different baranggays namely, Tabunok, Bulacao, Lagtang, Camp 3, and Talisay . With the leadership of
Pastor Lemuel Lauron , they formed the ACS-
Talisay District Chapter last July 13, 2013 held at Bulacao SDA Church.
The
group filled vigor and energy started to raise fund by performing at the
different churches to gather enough funds for the ACS- Talisay District Chapter
to start rolling.

The oath- taking ceremony was conducted by no other than the
newly- elected Mayor of Talisay City, Mayor Johnny Delos Reyes last August 10,
2013 during the Sabbath Worship at the same venue where the ACS- Talisay
District set of officers was initially organized, Bulacao SDA Church.
As Adventist Community Services in Cebu and the rest of the
Central Philippine Union Conferences we continue to soar high, continue to
touch many people’s lives and continue to be a witness for Christ unto the
community and to all the people of the earth.
