It was on October 15, 2013 that an earthquake of magnitude 7.2 hit the Philippines particularly Cebu and Bohol province. Hardly a month later, last November 7, 2013 super typhoon Yolanda shook the country again killing more than 5,000 people. It was the most powerful typhoon that ever swept our country.
The whole world watched the aftermath in great agony seing the places that the typhoon has destroyed.
Kinatarkan Island is one of the islands that experienced the wrath of typhoon Yolanda. The children continues to find something to make them laugh despite the disaster destroyed their houses and their school as well, Kinatarkan island survives...even after typhoon Yolanda swept the place.
.The Adventist Community Services volunteers did what they came to do under the fury of a very hot noonday sun. Nothing can stop them from distributing the relief goods brought by the team to these unfortunate brothers and sisters of ours. That is what we call SERVICE with love!
People lined up for their food and water.
